Expert strategies to renew and refresh
If you find yourself looking in the mirror and wondering why the face looking back at you doesn't match the way you feel inside, it's easy to become discouraged and disheartened by the changes that are an inevitable part of getting older. The good news is that there is actually quite a lot you can do to get back to a refreshed and fresh-faced appearance. At Source Medical Aesthetics, it's our job to determine the best way to use the injectable tools we have at hand to get you to the best, polished and rested version of yourself possible.
We utilize many noninvasive aesthetic treatments, but sometimes approaching the skin in a more direct way through injection can be one of the most dramatic and effective ways to reach a patient’s aesthetic goals. Cosmetic injectables are not as disruptive or painful as many might think, and are able to deliver the kind of results that simply cannot be achieved with topically focused treatments.
Can be used to treat these conditions:
Fine Lines + Wrinkles
Sagging Skin
Scarring
Botox
Do you furrow your brows unconsciously, when focusing or when stressed? In the same way that we may discover we are holding tension in our shoulders and neck at the end of a long day, we often contract and overuse muscles in our face without even realizing it. Stress takes enough out of our lives; it should not affect our faces. Botox is an injectable medicine that targets the facial muscles whose contractions cause facial lines. Botox may be administered as frequently as every 3-6 months, depending on your specific needs.
Dr. Krever and her staff at Source Medical Aesthetics administer precise injections, carefully relaxing specific muscles and reducing lines and restoring lift without compromising expression. Botox is a treatment that is quickly learned by many injectors but rarely mastered. If you have had problems in the past with Botox (droopy brows or eyelids, worsened lines or distorted expression), you shouldn’t assume that Botox is not a good treatment for you. In the same way that getting a bad haircut does not make all haircuts a bad idea, the results of Botox are much more.
Dysport
We offer a multitude of treatment options to accommodate every type of patient and facial concern. Dysport is an alternative to Botox consisting of a similar botulinum toxin. It has been used widely in Europe for 20+ years and received FDA approval for use in the US in 2009. There are some subtle differences with this product compared to Botox, and based on your needs it can be used in addition to or instead of Botox. Talk to Dr. Krever to understand which medicine is more appropriate for you.
Xeomin
Xeomin is the latest player in the category of muscle relaxing, line-reducing treatments. Many consider it an evolution of Botox in that it retains the molecular foundation of the original but strips away accessory proteins, resulting in an even more highly refined product. The resulting effect is softer, gentler and remarkably natural looking. It is a perfect treatment for those new to injected wrinkle-relaxers or anyone looking for an effortless, fresh appearance.
