Fillers

It isn’t realistic to expect your face not to age, even with plenty of products and treatments promising to reverse the physical signs of aging. However, aesthetic treatments are advancing to help you slow the progression. Thanks to Dr. Krever, MD, and the team at Source Medical Aesthetics, you can make subtle adjustments to your appearance using dermal fillers, including reducing wrinkles, lines, and thinning skin and lips.

  • Juvederm Ultra

Juvéderm is a brand of dermal filler that primarily contains hyaluronic acid, a compound that occurs naturally in your skin to help it hold water and continue growing connective tissues. Juvéderm’s product line includes Voluma® for your cheeks, Vollure™ for the lines around your mouth, Volbella™ for your lips, and Ultra Plus for deep and defined facial wrinkles. The results last for up to 18 months.

  • Juvederm Ultra Plus

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is thicker than Juvederm Ultra. Clinicians use it to improve the most severe wrinkles, the deepest nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and to fill depressions in cheeks. It can be used as a “liquid facelift” in order to sculpt facial contours. JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is the same formula except for the addition of the local anesthetic, lidocaine, to lessen discomfort during the treatment.

  • Volbella

Volbella is a dermal filler used to define lips and for the correction of fine wrinkles around the lips. This temporary filler is made of Hyaluronic Acid and does not require a skin test before your injections. The smaller Hylauronic Acid particle size in Volbella allows your cosmetic injector to treat fine lines without getting a full look in these delicate areas.

  • Voluma

Voluma is a hyaluronic acid filler which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body.  Voluma is a smooth, clear, and very malleable gel.  VyCross products are made differently than traditional hyaluronic acid fillers:  Juvederm or Restylane.  The VyCross linking improves the fluidity of the filler making it move more in unison with your expressions and giving a more natural look.  VyCross fillers also do not absorb as much water so there is not much swelling associated with these fillers.

  • Belotero+

Belotero + is an injectable gel  that is used to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds as well as other moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth.

  • Radiesse+

Radiesse filler works differently than the HA fillers because it stimulates the body to produce its own collagen rather than simply replacing the lost volume with HA. It consists of fine calcium microspheres that are suspended in a gel carrier. Unlike other collagen stimulating products such as Sculptra that need to be placed in multiple sittings and can take weeks to yield results, Radiesse shows correction immediately. Once injected, Radiesse filler adds the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging. What makes Radiesse truly unique is the ability of the product to act as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow.

  • Bellafill

Bellafill is the only dermal filler that stimulates collagen growth long term to help maintain your youthful appearance for up to 5 years. Over time, your body uses the microspheres in Bellafill to create a “scaffold” onto which your own natural collagen can develop. This collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles, reducing their appearance – and giving you natural-looking results that feel soft and smooth for up to 5 years.

What is the difference between Botox and Filler?

Neuromodulators:

  • Botox, Dysport, Xeomin
  • Quick 10 minute treatment
  • No anesthesia needed
  • Virtually no downtime
  • 2 weeks for full effect
  • 4 months duration
  • Great for lines and wrinkles that worsen with excessive movement

Fillers

  • Juvederm, Belotero, Radiesse, Bellafill, and Sculptra
  • 20-60 minutes to deliver depending on complexity
  • Numbing cream or Novocaine optional
  • Possibility of bruising/swelling
  • Results visible immediately
  • 6-24 month duration; up to 5 years for Bellafill
  • Ideal for lines, wrinkles, and folds resulting from the loss of collagen
  • Can help with restoring overall volume, structure, definition and support

Most patients feel mild pressure or pinpricks. We offer topical numbing cream, ice, and fillers with built-in anesthetic options to minimize discomfort. If you're anxious, we can adjust the technique and pacing to improve comfort.

The longevity depends on product type, treated area, and metabolism. Typical ranges are:

- Lips: 6 to 12 months

- Cheeks/midface: 12 to 18 months

- Tear troughs: 12 to 18 months

- Nasal labial folds: 12 to 18 months

Your clinician will tailor a maintenance plan and follow-up.

Pre-treatment consultation, skin cleansing, followed by topical anesthetic if needed, precise injections and post-procedure guidance. Typical duration is 30 to 60 minutes depending on the treatment areas.

Treatments are customized to your anatomy and medical history. We screen for allergies and contraindications. Product choice is based on depth and area to maximize natural results.

Yes, TIR trough fillers can reduce shadows when performed by an experienced injector, like the ones that source medical aesthetics. This area requires meticulous technique to avoid blending lines with the surrounding tissue.

Absolutely. Most patients benefit from a combined approach that uses fillers for volume and neuromodulators for dynamic lines, achieving a balanced look and fewer visits.
