At Source Medical Aesthetics we safely eliminate the appearance of varicose veins and spider veins using sclerotherapy injections and varicose vein laser treatment.

Laser technology can be used to treat unsightly surface veins on the face and body.  Best suited for small to medium sized veins, laser uses light energy to eliminate these small vessels and redirect blood flow to the proper deeper circulation. Laser treatment for small veins is non-invasive and creates no breaks or openings in the skin.

A more permanent hair removal solution -

If you're not happy with shaving, tweezing, or waxing to remove unwanted hair, or having complications from your current hair removal methods, laser hair removal may be a great choice.

Laser hair removal beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles and pigment in the follicles absorbs the light. The resulting reaction destroys the follicle that creates hair, eliminating it so it can’t grow back.

Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, leg, chin, back, arm, underarm, bikini line, and other areas. You provider will choose the correct laser type and settings to safely treat your specific skin type.

Benefits of laser hair removal include:

• Precision. Lasers selectively target dark, visible hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged.
• Speed. Each pulse of the laser takes a split second and treat multiple hair follicles simultaneously. The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in a minute or less, while large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour. 
• Predictability. The majority of patients have permanent, meaningful hair loss after an average of three to seven sessions.

Superficial Resurfacing -

Our medical providers use a state-of-the-art erbium laser to deliver concentrated light energy to safely remove a thin layer of dull outer skin. By ablating (vaporizing) the uppermost layer of dead cells, this minimal downtime procedure reveals fresh, healthy skin beneath. Termed “Micro Laser Peel®” (MLP) because of the conservative depth that is reached by the laser, this procedure leaves the entire face smoother, brighter, more even in tone, and texturally more consistent. Great for skin that has seen some neglect, minor sun damage, or other environmental insults, the MLP is an easy and rapid way to freshen facial skin. MLP is highly customizable and can be done in a series or in conjunction with Profractional-XC® or deeper spot resurfacing. Only a topical anesthetic will be necessary for your total comfort during this peel and downtime is typically limited to 4 days, brief enough for you to return to your life without missing a thing.

Fractional Resurfacing -

Treatment with the Sciton Profractional-XC® is a revolutionary technique for rehabilitating problem skin by stimulating new cell growth and deep skin remodeling. Similar to technology used in microlaserpeel and deep resurfacing, the Profractional-XC is an erbium laser, which vaporizes tissue with minimal heat. It is that lack of thermal conduction that lends the treatment a quick recovery period. In contrast to traditional laser peels, the Profractional-XC® only ablates a percentage of the skin’s surface, albeit to a much greater depth. The tissue removed is limited to incredibly narrow (microscopic) columns that reach into the deeper layers of the skin. The superficial outermost portion of these tiny channels heals rapidly, minimizing downtime while the deepest reaches heal slowly over time, revealing skin remodeling over the subsequent weeks and months.

Profractional XC® is recommended for patients seeking improvement in textural issues such as scarring and is considered the gold standard for treatment of acne scars. It can also be helpful for other conditions such as stretch marks (striae) melasma or deeper lines and wrinkles when deep resurfacing would rather be avoided.

Hybrid Fractional Laser -

As the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser, Halo delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone. This dual-wavelength feature means that you can attain great results with minimal downtime. Halo isn’t harsh like many other treatments can be, and our patients experience minimal discomfort.  Skin damage that you can and can’t see is addressed by Halo’s combined dermal revitalization and epidermal renewal. Even after your initial treatment, your skin’s tone and texture will continue to improve, as Halo triggers the “dermal regeneration phase.”

Deep Resurfacing -

Laser Resurfacing is a full surface peel that reaches into the deeper layers of the skin to enable revision of the some of the most stubborn skin complaints.  It is the go-to treatment for skin requiring major rejuvenation and can deliver astonishing improvement in lines and wrinkles that might otherwise seem too far-gone for real improvement. Laser skin resurfacing may be your ideal treatment if you struggle with:

• Wrinkles, both fine and deep
• Loose skin, especially under the eyes
• Rough, thickened or cobbled skin
• “Lipstick lines” a.k.a. “smokers lines”
• “Liver spots” and other sun damage
• Actic Keratoses

…and would like the concern eliminated, for years to come. This robust procedure removes the epidermis and penetrates the dermis, both eliminating unwanted skin cells and stimulating the growth of new, healthy cells. Benefits of the process are renewed collagen production and smoother, tighter skin. Because the procedure is more intense, a light oral sedative and local anesthesia will be administered and patients will follow a detailed post-care procedure for several days after the peel. Patients will likely have a recovery time of 1-2 weeks, but will enjoy the dermal enhancements for years. Laser resurfacing is recommended for older patients, those with significant sun damage, and any patient hoping to make a drastic but non-surgical enhancement.

"Laser Facial" -

Sometimes referred to as a “laser facial” Laser Genesis is a no-downtime, year-round aesthetic treatment, designed to help polish and perfect superficial skin revitalization concerns  It’s a great tool for general skin revitalization and also commonly used in the treatment protocols for scarring.

Laser Genesis® painlessly and gradually warms the dermis, the living layer of your skin that is responsible for collagen production. This dermal heating refreshes the skin and enhances collagen production by triggering the natural processes that your skin uses to heal from burns (without actually causing a burn!).
